Thanks for sharing Frank. I think Destiny Church is about to lose its Charity status. Expect some litigation though and a blow out of the Charity Commission budget

Hello Frank excellent work as usual .It seems Brooke is so busy bullying she cannot pen her own replies maybe she should take some of the great Poobahs advice and along with Dimwit Dave start making sandwich’s with the Great Poobah testing them for nutritional value .

A quick update...

The Minister with "Responsibilities for this Portfolio", emailed her response the following day.

Her 158-word salad offered nothing constructive. (In my 'umble opinion.)

But you folks decide:

"Kia ora Frank,

As Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, I am responsible for the Charities Act 2005 (the Act), its regulations and policy settings. The Charities Registration Board and Department of Internal Affairs are responsible for regulating charities. I am completely independent of any investigations and decision-making. However, I, like any other New Zealander, would expect that where any wrongdoing is found, appropriate and decisive action is taken.

I am aware of the allegations regarding recent actions of individuals associated with Destiny Church. Any regulatory action under the Charities Act is a matter for the Department and the independent Charities Registration Board to consider. Concerns about criminal acts should be referred to the Police.

As the Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, I expect every registered charity to comply with their obligations under the Act. Where there are issues raised, I expect the Department to look into these as part of fulfilling its role as an independent regulator.

Ngā mihi,"

Interesting that Ms Upton's office started with "Kia ora" and finished with "nga mihi". I thought govt departments had been instructed to use only english?! The Minister must've missed that memo...
