You sre SOOOOOO on my Christmas card list, Keith!!🤩
Yup, Michael Laws was NZFirst - the journo go that wrong! Laws may've had dubious political beliefs - but neo-liberalism wasn't one of them.
As for Mr Seymour; indeed, everything for him is about the Almighty Dollar. Once people understand that, his motivations and agenda become crystal clear. (Even his rhetoric about free speech is selective, from what I've seen...)
Well writ young man. Opposition to Seymour’s folly must centre around Te Tiriti offering protection against wholesale squandering of our resources (and rights) to corporate interests - every kiwi can understand that! Incidentally I thought Michael Laws was National then NZFirst - nutty rebel rather than neoliberal tool…
A very clear and informative summary Frank. Sadly this is not the type of debate Seymour seeks as he would rather promote mis/disinformation. Really hope your last sentence comes to pass and enough of the population of Aotearoa continues to grow in support of Te Ao Maori.
Thank you for a well-written and well-explained piece. I do hope you’re right about the Bill being destined for the bin. I’m fearful that with the 6 months of debate that Luxon gave Seymour for this bill, as opposed to the mere days other bills have got from this government, that the sentiments expressed by Seymour will be normalised very quickly. Atlas has deep pockets to throw at this during that time. They managed to turn the vote for The Voice in Australia around in that time or less and I suspect they’re winding up the same ads and rhetoric to throw at the likes of ZB as well. We must remain vigilant and also keep our eyes on other things they’re doing like the Fast Track Legislation and re-writing clauses of legislation.
A debate is not possible unless both parties are willing to listen to the others point of view and be prepared to modify a position in light of different information and opinion.

Bravo Frank! What a magnificent counter-measure you have employed to defeat this scandalous Bill! Ake ake kia kaha to you!

Flying pigs come to mind in this case
Great article!
Well written and researched Frank it seems David is omitting part of his ancestry as he needs to be reminded of this by brothers Winston & Shane .
Such a good and timely piece. You’ve helped me immensely as I write my submission. Thank you 🙏
